Translation of La perspective pratique, first published in Chartres in 1642, 1647 and 1648--9 (reprinted 1651 with further additions, re-issued 1663, q.v.). Pricke's translation was first published in 1672 (ESTC r1804); this is a re-issue with a cancel title-page and an additional engraved title-plate. Paginated by opening, with text and illustrations on opposite pages, numbered in duplicate with illustrations to the right; engraved headpiece on first page of preface. The present copy has plate 96 pasted over a duplicate pl. 95 erroneously printed on that leaf. See notes to BAL, Early printed books, no. 922 (1672 ed.); Wing D2412; ESTC r17799.
Binding C18th sprinkled sheep, blind- and gilt-tooled panels, gilt double rule borders, gilt tooled spine, paper spine-label lettered in ink 'Perspective./ Jes: by Pricke./ 1698.'.
