Copy Notes Inscribed in pencil on recto of second free-endpaper £10-0-0; inscribed in ink on verso 2.16.0/ Apl. 1819. With the binder's ticket of 'C. Lewis, 4, Middle Scotland Yard' on verso of front free-endpaper. It is not clear whether the bill from Thomas Boone, who was paid £2.16s. for 'Dugdales St Pauls fo Russia gilt Leaves' on 3 April 1819, refers to the purchase of the book itself, to the binding commissioned from Lewis through Boone, or to both. (Spiers Box). A few marginal pointers drawn in ink in 17th-century hand.

Binding C19th diced russia, gilt-rule panels, gilt-ruled and blind-tooled borders, gilt- and blind-tooled spine, gilt-ruled and blind-tooled doublures with Greek key motif and green paper central panels, gilt edges. Bound by C. Lewis (see copy notes above).
