A further attempt to influence the magistrates, twenty-nine of whom had resolved at a meeting on 26 March 1833, that there was nothing in the evidence taken before the Evesham Election Committee to render Mr. Rotch unfit as a candidate for the bench. Easthope's 'Letter To Sir john Gibbon, Bart.' had been published earlier in the same year (q.v.).
