Copy Notes Inscribed in ink on front free-endpaper Whitechapel. J. Soane/ 1767, with the final "e" of Soane's name added after 1783, and with a pencilled sketch of parts of a slide-rule (?). Inscribed in ink on verso of front free-endpaper with notes on filling casks, in an earlier hand.

Binding C18th Cambridge-style blind-panelled sheep.
