A riposte by Ferrey, Augustus Welby Pugin's pupil, to A.W. Hakewill's denunciation of the Gothic style as unsuitable for the Houses of Parliament in his Thoughts upon the style of architecture to be adopted in rebuilding the Houses of Parliament, [1835] (q.v.).

Copy Notes Imperfect; wanting the title-page. Bound last with four other pamphlets on rebuilding the Houses of Parliament including a copy of Hakewill's Thoughts (q.v.).

Binding C19th full dark green binder's cloth, upper cover lettered in gilt 'Pamphlets/ On Rebuilding The/ Houses Of Parliament'. Later numbered '109' in a series of pamphlet volumes.
