Docket title headed '1.' Prints the evidence given by Soane before the Committee 'appointed in Session 1831, "to consider the Possibility of making The House Of Commons more Commodious and less Unwholesome; ... and ... to inquire in what manner adequate Accommodation can be best afforded to its Members,"' on 14 March 1833. 'What I have always proposed has been, to erect a new House of Commons, leaving the old one standing as it is.' (p. 2).
Copy Notes With marks of emphasis and laconic marginalia in ink on pp. [1--3], Design No 1 inscribed in pencil on p. 6, and the head of p. [1] inscribed in ink Mr. Elyott[?] 36, Parliament [ ] / N.B. The lithographed Plan to be upon a scale / of 20 feet to an inch. Bound (10) in a collection of pamphlets.
Binding Later C19th marbled-paper boards, maroon grained binder's cloth spine, direct-lettered in gilt 'Pamphlets'. Numbered '64' in a series of pamphlet volumes.
