House of Commons 231. 'Report And Memorial' dated '12th April 1808'. Reprinted with additional material as Reports and memorials of the Commissioners ..., sessional paper 251 in 1811 (q.v.). The hand-coloured double-page plan is paginated 48--49 (sig. N2) but separately printed and mounted on the stub of M2.

Copy Notes Copy 1: Bound (1) with two copies of the Reports and memorials ..., 1811 (q.v.) and two copies of Further reports and memorials ..., 1814 (q.v.).
Copy 2: 34.7 cm. With original printed blue paper wrappers retained, both reading 'Report and Memorial respecting Improvements in Westminster. 1808.'. Bound (2) withA. Hutcheson, Some calculations relating to the proposals made by the South-Sea Company, 1720 (q.v.).
Copy 3: 34.5 cm. Bound (3) in a collection of related printed reports. With the bookseller's label of Priestley & Weale No. 5, High Street, Bloomsbury pasted in on front paste-down endpaper of volume. Pencil notes by the curator A.T. Bolton on the title-page.
Copy 4: 33.5 cm. Bound (1) in a volume of parliamentary reports on public buildings in Westminster, 1808--1826, retaining upper printed blue paper wrapper. The double-page plan is cropped at the foot by the binder with loss of imprint line.
Copy 5: 34.8 cm. Front free-endpaper inscribed in ink C Long. With Soane's spade-shield bookplate inside front wrapper. Rough diagram in ink on p. 15; calculation in ink at foot of p. 59. Upper wrapper inscribed in pencil Duplicate in the hand of A.T. Bolton, seventh curator of the Museum.

Binding Copy 1: C19th half calf, gilt roll-tooled borders, gilt double-rule spine, marbled paper boards.
Copy 2: C19th grey paper boards, brown paper spine with titles of both items written on spine in ink.
Copy 3: Contemporary C19th half sheep, direct-lettered spine, marbled-paper boards.
Copy 4: C20th blue cloth, gilt-lettered spine.
Copy 5: Original C19th blue paper wrappers reading 'Report and Memorial respecting Improvements in Westminster. 1808.'
