Imprint from verso of title-page. Soane was appointed one of the Attached Architects to the Office of Works jointly with John Nash and Robert Smirke in 1815.

With title-page inscribed in ink John Soane Esqre. / From the Office of Works and at foot of page, The attached architects Sect. 14--22--47; upper wrapper inscribed in ink Office of Works. Annotated in ink by Soane, with his critical comments, &c. Bound first in a volume of 'Bank of England & Mscll.' pamphlets.
Copy 2: With the original C18th blue paper wrappers present. Bound after copy 1.
Copy 3: Without the wrappers.

Binding Copies 1 and 2: Bound in the same volume of a numbered series of late 19th century half calf pamphlet volumes. (Archive, Trustees' Minutes 18 June 1866). With binder's stamp 'Bound By Mansell' on front pastedown.
Copy 3: C20th mauve card wrappers, stitched, paper label on front cover lettered in ink by A.T. Bolton, seventh curator.
