Although from the same publishers as the 1772 Guide, ou nouvelle description d'Amsterdam (q.v.) this is effectively a different work, with different text and plates: "tout est changé; c'est plutôt une refonte qu'une correction" ('Préface').
Copy Notes Bought from Thomas Boone for 3s. 6d. on 8 March 1813. (Spiers Box). Inscribed in ink on front free-endpaper John Soane/ 1813, with marginal note in pencil on p. 183, cropped by the binder.
Binding C18th half calf, marbled-paper boards, gilt double-rule spine, red morocco spine-label.
