With a list of subscribers to which four names are added in ink at the end. Plates numbered I--L, with one final un-numbered plate of Stonehenge. The text in French and English, in parallel columns. An unsigned grisaille pen-and-wash view of Ely cathedral followed by the etching made from it by B.T. Pouncy for the present work in two states, one unfinished and before-letters, the other finished with letters but before numbering as pl. XLI of the present work, are bound in one of Soane's two copies of J. Bentham's History and antiquities ... of Ely, 1771 (q.v.). Hearne's work was reissued in 1807 on the occasion of the publication of a second volume of the Antiquities of Great Britain; see BAL, Early printed books, no. 1485. ESTC t140692.

Binding C19th diced russia, gilt rule and roll tool borders with lily corner-pieces, gilt-tooled spine.
