Anonymous. By Carl-Heinrich von Heinecken. (Barbier, A.A, Ouvrages anonymes, II, 879, f). Modelled on the collection in the Kupferstichkabinett, Dresden, where Heinecken was keeper of prints. Several of the plates are woodcuts. Plates numbered 1--28 with bis plates 1, 25, 26 and 27. The 'portrait gr. par A. de Saint-Aubin' recorded in the BNF catalogue is not present in the Soane copy, or in the British Library copies.

Copy Notes Bought from Thomas Boone for 2 guineas, 9 September 1817. (Archive 16/12/63). The verso of the front free-endpaper inscribed in ink 2. 2. 0 / Boone.

Binding C19th diced russia, gilt-ruled borders and spine, spine lettered in gold 'Heinekin/ Idee General/ D'Estampes/ Leipsic &c/ 1771'.
