Elgin Marbles. Mr Henning begs to inform his friends and subscribers, that he has changed his residence to No.35, Lower Thornhaugh Street, Bedford Square.

Drop-head title as above. Page [2] blank. Dated at end 'Dec. 18, 1820.' An advertisement in which Henning states that he has completed his miniature bas-relief copy of the frieze of the cella of the Parthenon (scale 1:20), and that he is proceeding with a similar series from the Phygalian Marbles also in the British Museum. The Parthenon series, priced at £31 10s. the set and measuring 2 inches in height and 24 feet 4 inches in length, was published in six parts that could either 'form elegant ornaments for a chimney-piece; or, fitted up, in imitation of volumes, [be] ... adapted to the library.' Soane is not known to have been one of Henning's subscribers.

Binding C19th half calf, marbled-paper boards, gilt double-rule spine, maroon spine-label lettered 'Pamphlets &c', later numbered '32' in a series of pamphlet volumes.
