This is the first edition of 1780, distinguishable from the c. 1800 edition (also dated 1780 on the title-page but watermarked 1796) by the imprint statement ending 'M, DCC, LXXX'. Harris and Savage 347; ESTC t53600.

Copy Notes Imperfect; wanting the half-title. Bought for 5s. on 2 November 1784. (Account Book 1781--86). Later bound (1) with Ferroussat de Castelbon, Réflexions sur la mauvaise qualité du plâtre, 1776 (q.v.).

Binding C19th tree calf, gilt-rule borders, gilt roll-tooled spine with Greek key motif, green morocco spine-label.
