Anonymous. By William Hone. At foot of title-page imprint: 'This Pamphlet and the Toy together, One Shilling.' A satire on the separation of George IV and Queen Caroline, first published in 1820 and running to over forty editions in its first year. The 'Toy' was a separate folding plate showing the 'Ladder'. Includes 'The Joss And His Folly, An Extract of an overland Despatch.', dated July 29, 1820 (pp. [20--22]). With woodcut illustrations designed by George Cruikshank and a final leaf of advertisements.
