First edition published in 1740; this is probably the third edition, a straight reprint of the 1745 edition. BAL, Early printed books, no. 1744; Harris and Savage 451; ESTC t65500.

Copy Notes Inscribed in ink on front free-endpaper John Soane / 1807. This is likely the copy of 'Lanley's Designs' bought from Thomas Boone for 4s. 6d. on 4 March 1807. (Spiers Box). An inscription in ink has been rubbed out on the front pastedown, which is also inscribed in pencil 1-10s:6; the front free-endpaper inscribed in pencil with the price =s5- and bookseller's hieroglyphs.

Binding Contemporary C18th reversed calf, blind roll-tool borders.
