In this copy the volume of plates (engraved by John Sturt) has the imprint of 'Richd. Ware at the Bible & Sun on Ludgate Hill', datable to about 1747. This is a reprint of the first English edition of 1723--4, which was translated by Ephraim Chambers from the original French edition of 1714. There are two plates numbered 61 (A and B); plate 79 is omitted. The final 3 pp. of the text volume contain the publisher's list. Harris and Savage 485; ESTC t79286.
