L'architecture considérée sous le rapport de l'art, des moeurs et de la législation. Par C. N. Ledoux. Prospectus.
Paris (Place), C. F. Patris, imprimeur de l'Académie de Législation,, [1802?].
[2], 28 p. ; 24.5 cm. (4º)

Drop-head title reads as above. The imprint is taken from p. 28. With a half-title reading as above until '... Législation.'. According to a 'Post Scriptum' (p. 27), the first volume, containing 118 plates including 40 perspective views and 300 motifs, would appear at the beginning of 1803. One hundred copies were to be reserved for those 'qui cultivent les Arts.' These could be had in individual parts with text for 24 livres each from M. Hué at Ledoux's house. The price of the complete volume was 12 louis stitched, or 24 louis 'en papier vélin, avant la lettre'. The prospectus was evidently written at the end of 1802 and widely distributed in 1803 not only in France but also to the leaders of the profession in England (see A.
