Not in Lugt. Lowe was the son-in-law of Francis Eginton (1736/7--1805), one of the leading glass painters of his generation, and increasingly assisted in the execution of Eginton's commissions from 1802 onwards. After Eginton's death the establishment passed to his widow Maria, and eventually broke up in 1811, with Eginton's son William Raphael Eginton and Samuel Lowe establishing successful independent careers in glass painting.
