Etched throughout. Published in spring 1816 and listed among new publications in The New Monthly Magazine, May 1816, p. 340 (q.v., copy 2). The Soane copy is a large paper copy with pl. 20 in its early state without the caption. Intended 'to range with Britton's Architectural Antiquities and Cathedrals'. BAL, Early printed books, no. 1988.

Copy Notes Bound with J. Taylor, A catalogue of modern books on architecture (q.v.), in which it is priced at 2 guineas on demy, and 3 guineas on imperial paper.

Binding Original C19th publisher's blue-paper boards, printed paper spine-label reading 'Gothic Ornaments At Oxford, &c.'.
