While an undergraduate, Thomas James wrote this work for the benefit of Henry Malden, the chapel clerk, under whose name it was published. With an engraved portrait of Malden by Thomas Orde and plate of the chapel. ESTC n15891.

Copy Notes Imperfect; wanting the plate of the chapel. With an etched portrait (probably that of the author as called for in the title) trimmed to the image and pasted down on the front free-endpaper to face the title-page. Inscribed in pencil on the front free-endpaper Plate wanting -. Bound (1) in a volume of pamphlets.

Binding C19th half calf, marbled-paper boards, gilt double-rule spine, black spine-label, gilt-lettered 'Malden's King's College Chapel &c'. Bound by Edwin Hutchinson for 1s. 2d., 28 February 1832. (Archive 7/16/29 book binding, half russia). Later numbered '99' in a series of pamphlet volumes.
