Issued by James Malton and datable on internal evidence to 1800 or shortly after, before the publication of the second and third parts of James Malton's Young painter's maulstick (q.v.) with which some copies were almost certainly issued. Includes an advertisement for the second edition of Thomas Malton's Appendix, or, second part to the Complete treatise on perspective (q.v.), published in 1800 and with which the Soane copy is bound, probably as issued. Copy Notes With the prices of some of the books altered in ink. Bound (1) with Thomas Malton's Appendix (q.v.).
Binding Later C19th half calf, blind roll-tooled borders, gilt double-rule spine, green binder's cloth boards, red morocco spine-label. Bound by George Richmond for 4s. 6d., 25 April 1853. (Curatorial Papers/Bailey/Parcel 1).
