With a half-title. This type specimen book advertises the fonts in use at new printing office set up by Moyes after his premises in Greville Street were destroyed by fire in 1824. It includes a 'Summary Of The Origin Of Language, Writing, And Printing.' A wood-engraved view of the 'Interior of the Principal Composing Room' appears on the title-page.

Copy Notes Bound in a collection of pamphlets.

Binding C19th half dark green hairsheep, blind double-rule borders, marbled-paper boards, gilt double-ruled spine, gilt-lettered 'Climbing / Boys'. Numbered '94' in a series of pamphlet volumes.
