This is the first edition of a work on the construction of a wide variety of Dutch mills including saw-mills, water-mills, sluices and paper mills. The sub-title of part II varies slightly. Part III, titled Architectura mechanica, of moolen-boek van eenige opstallen van moolens, ... is by Pieter Linperch, millmaker of Stockholm. The date, 1727, is taken from Cóvens and Mortier's foreword. The title-pages are printed in red and black with engraved title-page ornaments: the one used in parts I--II, depicting a mill and signed by J. Punt, is dated 1736, and the one in part III, depicting a scene from Ovid captioned 'Socio Ditata Labore' and signed J. Wandelaar, is undated. Ten plates in part II are joined and folded.
