With a list of subscribers. The plates are stipple-engraved portraits of notable figures of the period, some signed by Robert Cooper.

Copy Notes A large paper grangerized copy with the 21 plates and 42 further engravings of various dates, mostly portraits, cropped to size (some folded) and laid down on 53 inserted leaves watermarked 'Ruse & Turners/ 1810'. Bound (2) with Memoirs of Sir Robert Naunton, Knt., 1814 (q.v.). The volume was purchased at from Sotheby's Fauntleroy sale of April 11--14, 1825 (q.v.), lot 580 for 9 guineas, 19 April 1825. (Cheque stubbs 6/20). There survives in the Museum's archive a note in Bonomi's hand indicating that The prints with Autographs in / the Pennant & Naunton, are / those published by Mr. Thane / 1791- 70 in all for an / account of their publication see Gent Mag. 1791. p.841. (Archive VI.N).

Binding C19th russia, blind-tooled and gilt roll-tool spine, upper and lower covers blind-tooled with wide decorative borders of anthemion motif filleted in gilt and blind, gilt edges.
