'Fabricia Nunnez, Spinster' = Peter Coxe. With half-title. A verse lampoon attacking the cabal in the Academy (led by Farington) that successfully deposed Benjamin West as president, electing James Wyatt in his place (hence these 'architectural hints' to the painter members). West's re-election in the following year led to the publication of Another word or two; or, architectural hints continued, 1807 (q.v.). Coxe, a writer, poet and auctioneer, was a personal friend of Soane.

Copy Notes Inscribed in ink p. 19, line 83 Mr Wyatt 'him we must not name', and p. 29, line 91 Wyatt 'The Phoebus of your new career'. Bound (4) in a collection of pamphlets.

Binding C19th half calf, marbled-paper boards, gilt double-rule spine, maroon spine-label lettered 'Pamphlets &c', later numbered '32' in a series of pamphlet volumes.
