Issued as the second part of a bound volume with Soane's Sketches in architecture, 1793 (here catalogued separately, q.v.), with separate pagination and register and a separate title-leaf as above. The publisher's catalogue which accompanies the Soane copy of both works offers the two works as a single volume sold at £2 12s. 6d., and a general title-leaf covering the two works is known in a single copy at Harvard. Josiah Taylor issued a second edition of both works in 1798 (see Abbey, Life, 74 and ESTC n25077), which is not in the Soane Museum. Parkyns is recorded as an artist and aquatintist who worked in America during the 1790s. Harris and Savage 843; Millard II, 77; BAL, Early printed books, no. 3099; ESTC t102003.
