Description of Mr Peacock's filtering-machine.

Docket title. Describes a modified version of the machine described in an earlier advertisement probably issued in 1806 (q.v.), now consisting of 'five parts' rather than three. On p. 2, the price of the machine 'is twenty guineas' replaced by is 14.

Copy Notes Inscribed in ink on docket title-page Thornton Esqr. / by order of Mr. Soane / To James Peacock / 1809 /Sept. 28th To 2 Filtering Machines / delivered at Mr Soane's / office at the Bank 29:8:0 / porterage 0:3:0 / £29:11:0. Godfrey Thornton was Director of the Bank of England. Bound (3) in a collection of pamphlets, following the earlier advertisement as described above.

Binding Later C19th marbled-paper boards, maroon grained binder's cloth spine, direct-lettered in gilt 'Pamphlets'. Numbered '64' in a series of pamphlet volumes.
