Romæ:, Io: Iacobi de Rubeis formis,, 1653.
Engr. dedic./t.-pl., 100 pl. (2 fold. ), [2] engr. leaves of text ; 36.5 cm. (2°)

First published in 1738. This is a later edition with the original dedication title-plate dated 1638 and an added engraved index dated 1653. Brunet and Graesse mention five states of the frontispiece plate as described in A.P.F. Robert-Dumesnil, Le peintre-graveur français, VI, pp. 176-188. This was the first collection of images of Greco-Roman statuary to set out intending to present only the masterpieces, and various states of the original title-plate together with other variation suggest that it was reworked and issued at various times from 1738 onwards. All the plates are signed 'FPB' except pl. 1 which is signed 'Franciscus Perrier Burgund. delin. et sculp.'. Berlin Kat. 4202.

Binding C18th black morocco, gilt double-rule borders and frame with gilt corner pieces, gilt-tooled spine, red morocco spine-label. Uniformly bound with an undated copy of Insigniores statuarum urbis Romæ icones (q.v.), labelled 'Statve Antich Lib * I' and 'Lib * II' (this vol.).
