Drawn, etched, and published by Davide Antonio Fossati, whose initials appear on the title-plate and as a monogram in most of the plates, after landscape paintings by Ricci in the collections of (Consul) Joseph Smith and A.M. Zanetti.

Copy Notes Bound (4) with a suite of Ricci's own etchings published by Orsolini in 1730 (q.v.), and two suites of etchings after Ricci by Giampiccolo dedicated to Joseph Smith (q.v.) and Antonio Maria Zanetti (q.v.). The volume was bought from the Adam Sale, 21 May 1818, lot 92 for £2. (A.T. Bolton, Adam (1922), appendix C, p. 331).

Binding Contemporary C18th half vellum, red morocco spine-label lettered 'Ricci'.
