Taylor, Architectural Library, 59, High Holborn; where an extensive stock of all the approved publications relating to the above subjects, and the fine arts, whether foreign or domestic, is constantly on sale.
London (Place), J. Moyes, Castle Street, Leicester Square,, [1833?].
16 p. ; 21.3 cm. (8°)

Drop-head title. Colophon imprint. This catalogue is datable to 1831 or later on the evidence of Moyes's imprint address. It includes a list of all fourteen volumes of Britton's Cathedral antiquities and describes the series as 'now near its completion' (p. 3). Although the first part of Britton's final volume (Worcester) appeared in January 1832, when it was expected to be completed by the end of that year, the last instalment was not delivered to subscribers until August 1835, by which time Taylor had died intestate and the assets of his firm were being sold off at auction by order of Chancery. The copyright, copperplates and existing stock of Cathedral antiquities were bought for £1,500 by the remainder specialist M.A. Nattali in June 1836.

Copy Notes Bound (and almost certainly distributed) at the end of a copy of the April 1833 issue of Arnold's Magazine of the Fine Arts (q.v., copy 2).

Reference Number 3426

Additional Names Taylor's Architectural Library; I. and J.$Taylor's Architectural Library (London, England)
