The year of the sale is not given but the catalogue may be dated to 1805. Lugt 6935. Edward Poore, MA, Queen's College, Oxford, was elected to the Royal Society in 1772 'as desirous of being admitted a Fellow of the Royal Society, ... and qualifyd to be an usefull Member of the Society by his extensive knowledge in various branches of polite and usefull Literature, and especially by his abilitys and skills in Mathematics and Natural Philosophy'.
Copy Notes Title-page inscribed in ink along the fore-edge Mr Soane/ Lincolns Inn Fields. Bound in a collection of sale catalogues, 1784 to 1823.
