The 'Description of Salisbury Cathedral' (pp. 1--35) is a slightly altered reprint of the text of Francis Price's Series of particular and useful observations, 1753 (q.v.) complete with its 14 plates. The additions consist mostly of monumental inscriptions. There are also 'Additional Remarks, From A Manuscript of the late Mr. Francis Price, &c.' Price's name does not however appear on the title-page. The 'Description' is prefaced by 'An Account of Old Sarum' with one plate. Harris and Savage 706; ESTC t147640.

Copy Notes One copy, of which edition is not known, was bought at Christie's on 17 February 1815, lot 56 for £1 13s. with three other items. (See marked up sale catalogue in Christie's archive).

Binding C19th half calf, marbled-paper boards, gilt double-rule spine, red spine-label. Endpaper w/m '1828'.
