PRIESTLEY AND WEALE
Important & interesting works of architecture, &c. &c. published and sold by Priestley and Weale, No.5, High Street, Bloomsbury.
[London]: printed by J. Davy, Queen Street, Seven Dials, [1823?].
8 p. ; 21.4 cm. (8°)

Drop-head title. Probably issued in the autumn of 1823. It opens with Elmes's biography of Wren ('just published under the Patronage of his Majesty') and includes short notices only of the forthcoming 'Life of G.B. Piranesi ... ' (now stated to be 'by his Son, G.B. Piranesi') and 'Architectural Remains in Rome, Pola, and Naples, from Drawings made by Clerisseau, under the direction of the late Robert Adam, ...'; on these two unpublished works cf. earlier 1823 catalogue (q.v.) and Priestley and Weale's Bibliotheca architectonica, 1825 (q.v.). The proposed biography of the Adam brothers is no longer listed.

Copy Notes Bound in (and probably issued with) Joseph Gwilt's The conduct of the Corporation of the City of London considered, in respect of the designs ... for rebuilding London Bridge, 1823 (q.v.).

Reference Number 3082
