This issue unrecorded by Hilles, who notes only the imprint 'Printed for Thomas Davies ...' (cf. Hilles 5; ESTC t31951). The half-title with price '1s. 6d.' ESTC n590.

Copy Notes Bound (1) in a volume lettered on spine 'Discourses / of / Sir J. / Reynolds / 1769 / To / 1776', the front free-endpaper inscribed in ink From the Author to P. Sandby.

Binding C18th sprinkled calf, gilt-ruled spine, later black morocco spine-label with evidence of earlier direct lettering beneath. Edwin Hutchinson did some work on the binding costing a total of 4s. 3d. on 2 August 1831 (Priv. Corr. XVI.E.7.16 Bookbinding).
