Anonymous. First compiled at published by Pompilio Totti in 1638 as a companion to his Ritratto di Roma antica, 1627. This is the third edition of Ritratto di Roma moderna, Filippo de' Rossi having taken over the publication of both works and brought out revised editions of both in 1645. The first preliminary leaf (counted in the collation) is an added etched title-page 'Ritratto Di Roma Moderna'. The dedication is signed by Filippo de Rossi. Copy Notes Bought at the Adam sale, May 1818, lot 120 with three other works for 2 guineas the lot. (Priv. Corr. XVI.E.3.12).

Binding C17 limp vellum, the spine lettered in ink 'Roma Moderna 1652'.
