With a dedication to the Royal Society signed 'AB. Sellerus' = Abednego Seller. The appendix has a divisional title-leaf reading 'The Appendix: Or, Critical Observations Upon the Names of Palmyra and Tadmur; And The Inhabitants, Their Offices and Religion. Together with an Account of Vaballathus and Longinus: And A Commentary on the Inscriptions.' Wing S2448; ESTC r2998.

Copy Notes Bought from Thomas Boone for 3s. on 5 July 1815. (Spiers Box). Inscribed in ink on front pastedown-endpaper R/C and -3-, and in pencil on front free-endpaper F.11. The top corner of the front free-endpaper excised as if to remove an ownership inscription.

Binding C18th Cambridge style blind-panelled calf, blind triple-rule spine panels.
