Copy Notes Two loosely inserted sheets of copies of maps of ancient Greece (pl. 30) and 'Europa Antiqua' (pl. 4) crudely drawn in ink, the latter watermarked Allee/ 1799. The leaf containing pp. 7--8 is reversed in binding. Bought from Joseph Bell for £2. 12s. on 23 August 1805. (Spiers Box Misc. Booksellers). A 'Lot of Books on Architecture' was bought on the same occasion, for £5.
Binding C19th half sprinkled calf, gilt double-ruled spine, red morocco spine-label, marbled-paper boards.
