Anonymous. The undated second edition (c. 1828) names the editor as Théophile Schuler. The preface presents the work as a new edition of the description of Strasbourg cathedral by Franz Miller (1788 and 1811), itself a revision of a work by Georg Heinrich Behr first published anonymously in 1732 in German (1733 in French), with subsequent revisions by Joseph Schweigheüser (1770, q.v.).

Copy Notes Bought from I. Williams for 1s. on 30 December 1833. (Spiers Box). Inscribed in ink on front free paste-down endpaper (and continued on a sheet laid down on front free-endpaper) is a note about the silver model of the cathedral of Strasbourg brought from Paris by Sir Gregory Page Osbourne Turner Bart., and allowed by Mr. Soane & Mr. Porden the architects, who have been at Strasburg, to be the most perfect piece of workmanship they ever beheld, & is worthy of a place in any publick Museum or private Collection of superior works of art ....

Binding C19th half calf, gilt double-rule spine, marbled-paper boards, paper spine-label lettered in ink.
