Brackets in title. Bifolium, conjugate leaf blank. Drop-head title, text dated at head '135, Fleet Street, London. October 8th, 1824'. The paper was owned and edited by John Chapman who, together with his printer Dennis Dunn, publishes here a sworn statement of its weekly sale in August 1824, showing that this had risen steadily from 4970 to 5179 copies. A note 'To Advertisers' at the end states that advertisements 'are inserted in the whole Impression, and not, ... in one day's impression only; so that the Sunday Times will prove to be the best channel for Advertisements ...'.
