Dedication signed by Temanza, a Venetian architect and historian who compiled this work after a visit to Rimini in 1735. The final six pages are an appendix, 'Raccolta Di Antichi Inscrizioni Che Si Ritrovano Nella Città Di Rimino ...'. The plates are numbered in two sequences I--IV and I--V; five are signed 'Ant. Visentini Sculp.'.

Copy Notes Purchased as lot 102 with Torelli Sarayna's De origine et amplitudine civitatis Veronæ, 1540 (q.v.), for one guinea at the Adam sale, 21 May 1818 (q.v.). (Priv. Corr.XVI.E.3.13). Uncut edges. Early MS. shelfmark 40 on spine.

Binding C18th decorated paper boards (large floral motif in yellow). Spine lettered in ink 'Antiquitys of Rimino'.
