Giuseppe Vasi's Itinerario istruttivo was originally published in 1763, with the French translation first appearing in 1773. After his death in 1782, his son Mariano Vasi took over the business and published a new work in French based on his father's guide, naming it the fifth in the sequence of editions of that work; it was then reprinted in Italian in 1791 (q.v.). For the complicated publishing history of these successful guides to Rome, see BAL Early printed books, no. 3400 notes. The final 4 pages are a catalogue of the works of Vasi. Schudt 336.
