First published 1590; a second edition was published in 1598 (q.v.). With a dedication to Martin Vidman, Conte de Ottemburgo signed by Salustio Piobbici. Another issue has the imprint reading: 'Appresso Gio: Giacomo Hertz.' In this abridged edition the woodcuts are printed without the mannerist page border ornaments.
