Anonymous. Attributed to William Hole, rector of Barnstaple. Edited, with an introduction and postscript, by Thomas Wilson, rector of St Margaret's from 1753, to whom the work is also sometimes attributed. The postscript and probably the plate of the church interior, were not part of the work as first issued but added 'near a year, since this Book was published' (Postscript, p. [1]). Copy Notes Inscribed in ink on front free-endpaper 1/1/0/ John Soane/ 1817/ Loose print of the window of Saint/ Margarets Church. The 'loose print', a hand-coloured engraving of the window of St. Margaret's with a reference to 'Pennant's London page 87', has been tipped in facing the frontispiece. Inscribed in pencil on p. iv Tho. Wilson. D.D./ P. of Westmr. R of Walbroke/M. of St Margts.
