With a dedication from Baron Stosch to Cardinal Albani. With a bibliographical 'Table de quelques Auteurs cités dans cet Ouvrage' (pp. XXX--XXXII), [32] pp. of 'Table Des Matieres' and a leaf of errata. At the end of the preface (p. XXIX): Imprimée à Rome.
Copy Notes Bought from Thomas Boone for 4s. on 23 June 1808. (Spiers Box). Verso of first front free-endpaper inscribed in ink bf/ chf (?), recto of second front free-endpaper inscribed in pencil -a- and =s4=/, rear free-endpaper inscribed in pencil 14/=. The title-page verso has a British Museum 'Sale Duplicate' stamp dated 1787 and is inscribed in pencil VII/ [horizontal curly brace]/ EE.a. In this copy the bibliography, contents and errata are bound following the preface.
Binding C18th sprinkled calf, gilt-tooled borders of anthemion and fleur de lis, gilt-tooled spine with stylised eagles and flowers, red morocco spine-label.
