Copy Notes Uniformly bound (save for the dimensions and the colour of the spine-label) and presumably acquired by Soane at the same time as copies of the 'Edition de Cazin' of the Chef-d'oeuvres dramatiques de P. & T. Corneille, 5 vols, 1791 (q.v.) and Samuel de Constant de Rebecque, Laure, ou lettres de quelques personnes de Suisse, 5 vols, 1787 (q.v.), and a separate edition of the letters of Abelard and Heloise, 2 vols, 1816 (q.v.).

Binding C19th Spanish style mottled hairsheep, gilt French fillet borders, gilt-tooled spines, green spine-labels, marbled endpapers, gilt edges.
