A re-issue of the 1727 sheets (q.v.) with a cancel title-page. Issued with a so-called 'Second Edition' of Langwith's Observations (in fact a re-issue of the sheets of the first edition of 1747 with a new title-page). The Observations have separate title-page, pagination and register. ESTC t133612.
Copy Notes Imperfect; the 'Observations' lacking the dedication recorded in ESTC t133613. The copy bought from Thomas Boone for 9s. on 24 December 1805 was probably the 1727 issue (q.v., copy 2). The present copy may also have been bought from Boone, as it is inscribed in pencil, probably in his hand best edition with Appendix./ xox and on the rear free-endpaper xhx.
Binding C18th sprinkled calf, gilt double-ruled spine, red spine-label.
