With a list of the nine governors on the title-page. Also includes the regulations of the 'Artists' Honorary or Benevolent Fund' (pp. 29--34), which was raised from the donations and subscriptions of the general public rather than from the subscriptions of artist members.

Copy Notes Copy 1: With the upper printed green paper wrapper present. With a covering letter from the Secretary of the Fund, John Young, dated Aug.[?] 2. 1811, presenting this volume and informing Soane of the state of the Artists Benevolent Fund which currently stood at £295 18s. According to the list of donations and subscriptions on pp. 33--34, Soane had already given by far the largest donation so far received (50 guineas). Bound in a collection of pamphlets on the arts.
Copy 2: 20.9 cm. Bound first in a collection of pamphlets.

Binding Copy 1: C19th blue paper boards, brown paper spine lettered in ink 'Miscel-/Laneous// Landseer/ Letters// Haydon/ on the/ Elgin/ Marbles/ &c./ &c./ E'. Later numbered '89' in a series of pamphlet volumes.
Copy 2: Later C19th brown morocco-grain binder's cloth, gilt-lettered on spine 'Artists' / Societies'. Later numbered 'F' in a series of pamphlet volumes.
