Half-sheet, folded, conjugate leaf blank. Drop-head title, verso blank. Watermark date: 1829. The author promises 'Twelve Plates, engraved in the ablest manner, in folio, accompanied with a life of Palladio, translated from the Italian of Milizia, and a brief description of each edifice. - Price £1.1s.' It was also his intention '(should this Work meet the approbation of the Public) to illustrate in like manner the edifices of the principal Italian Architects of the Sixteenth Century ... Bramante, Vignola, Scamozzi, Michael Angelo, Sansovino, D. Fontana, Sanmicheli, Giulio Romano, &c.'. The edifices of Andrea Palladio was duly published in 1832 with a dedication to Soane (q.v.), but the companion works were never published.
