Copy Notes A large paper copy with a full set of proof plates and 11 proofs before letters. Bought from Britton for £10 in January 1823 (Priv. Corr. XVI.E.5). It is bound (4) with the previous three volumes in the series, The history and antiquities of ... York, 1819 (q.v.), The history and antiquities of ... Lichfield, 1820 (q.v.) and The history and antiquities of ... Oxford, 1821 (q.v.).

Binding C19th half brown goatskin, gilt-ruled borders, gilt double-rule spine direct-lettered in gilt, marbled-paper boards. Bound as vol. [II] '1819--21' of a four-volume set of 'Britton's / Cathedral / Antiquities.'
