Allason's only published work, based on sketches made during his travels in Greece in 1813 and 1814 as part of the Spencer Stanhope expedition. The frontispiece is 'Drawn by J.M.W. Turner R.A. from the original sketches of Tho. Allason'. Includes 'Remarks On The Ancient And Modern History Of Istria And Dalmatia, Elucidatory Of The Origin, Manners, And Customs Of Their Present Inhabitants': pp. [25]--67. BAL, Early printed books, no. 73.

Copy Notes The plates are protected by tissue-paper guards. Note reading Allasons, Pola by Murray inscribed (by Soane?) on prospectus of Cotman's Architectural antiquities of Normandy dated September 1819 (q.v.). (Priv. Corr. XVI.G.2.30).
